Wine & Food 101
The second term of iYellow Wine School courses for Winter 2010 will help build your confidence around the art of food and wine.
Classes are 90 minutes in length (60 minute lecture and tasting & 30 minute Q&A) and run Saturday's from 4-5:30pm at Reds Bistro & Wine Bar (77 Adelaide Street West). After each class, students will be invited to continue their wine journey with exclusive iYellow specials at Reds wine bar and restaurant.

Saturday February 7th - Vino Rosso Italiano!
Explore Italy from the comfort of Toronto. Taste a Sangiovese and you’ll know why wine is an active component to the Italian lifestyle. Learn why Amarone has such a unique winemaking process, and savour Italy’s 3rd most planted grape, Barbera. After this class you’ll understand why Italians love their food and their wine so much! Since smell is the 3rd step in the 5 Easy Steps to Tasting Wine, it makes sense to create a class that focuses on smell. Let your nose do the thinking in this class! Explore 3 aromatic white wine varietals, Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc and learn how these versatile white wines can both smell and taste delicious and can pair well with a variety of foods!
Saturday March 7th - Discovering Beautiful California
Discover how California wines are diverse, affordable and robust? Do you like dry wines with full tannins, or elegant silky and soft wines? The California Climate is wide and something tells me we won’t have to twist your arm to drink wine and enjoy some great cheese. Learning is such a hard job! Taste through and learn about California’s wines and indulge in some great cheeses along the way. Chardonnay is one of the most widely planted grape varieties in the world. It is also the most misunderstood. Taste charming unoaked Chablis from France, a classy warm climate Californian and cool climate Niagara Chardonnay and learn to appreciate one of the world’s most versatile varieties.
